Craft Shops in Cornwall

(please bear with me while I flesh out this page, thank you. If you have recommendations I'd love to hear them)

Whether you're a native to Cornwall or you're visiting this paradise for a short time, I thought it would be useful to compile a quick-look guide to some of my favourite shops for fabric, wool, and the like.

This is by no means a comprehensive directory, and it will evolve only slowly, as I'd like to only mention places I have had dealings with, in order to give you some personal insight that you wouldn't get from a yellow pages-type list.

Needle & Thread: 5 Fore Street Comprehensive range of King Cole yarns, some patchwork fabrics, haberdashery, vintage patterns, bargain bin fabrics (some nice bits in here when I looked). Friendly service.

Cornish Market World:

Frangipani Guernsey Wool: website here No physical shop, website only, and ordering solely by telephone:  01736 366339. Traditional 5-ply Gansey wool in authentic colours. Fabulously helpful and highly recommended.
